Safety Integrity Software Tool for the Evaluation of Machine Applications
Rilasciata da IFA la Versione stabile di SISTEMA (3.0.4 Build 5) ad Ottobre 2025.
Il software SISTEMA fornisce a chi sviluppa e verifica sistemi di controllo relativi alla sicurezza per le macchine un supporto completo per la valutazione della sicurezza nel contesto della norma EN ISO 13849-1.
Lo strumento consente di creare un modello della struttura realizzata con i componenti per il sistema di controllo relativo alla sicurezza sulla base delle architetture designate, permettendo in tal modo di calcolare automaticamente con diverso livello di dettaglio i parametri di affidabilità, compreso quello del Performance Level ottenuto (PL).
This release fixes several known issues in version 3, including:
- Infinite loop in summaries: In certain cases, the automatic summary function would get stuck in an infinite loop and generate a document with the maximum page count of 5,000.
- Crashes in the documentation field: In rare cases, working in the documentation field would cause a crash – without any warning or error message.
- Entry in documentation field not being saved: If a documentation field was edited directly using the pencil icon without selecting the field itself, the entry was not saved.
- Version query displayed incorrect data: The version check tool displayed incorrect information.

Changes in the standard ISO 13849-1:2023 have been implemented into SISTEMA.
Details can be found in the document “Innovation in SISTEMA 3.0”. A short overview:
- PFH now comes without index ‘D’ and defined as ‘average frequency of a dangerous failure per hour’.
- Texts for estimating the PL have been adapted, including:
- - “Simplified procedure” from section 4.5.5 now is “alternative procedure” in section 6.1.9.
- - Safety-related software developed in accordance with Section 7 and Annex J or no software available. Note added to Section 7 (software safety requirements) and Section 10.3 (qualitative aspects).
- If the alternative method is used to determine the PL, SISTEMA checks the function (input, logic, output), which changes the requirements of the category.
- New input option for electromagnetic immunity (EMI) at the level of the safety functions and the subsystem.
