Quattro nuove sostanze aggiunte alla Candidate List di cui all'Allegato XIV del Regolamento 1907/2006 (REACH) è ora di 205 sostanze.
L'ECHA ha aggiunto le prime tre sostanze all'elenco delle sostanze candidate a causa della loro tossicità riproduttiva, dell'interruzione del sistema endocrino e di una combinazione di altre proprietà problematiche. Queste hanno probabili gravi effetti per la salute umana e per l'ambiente, in quanto sostanze cancerogene, mutagene e tossiche per la riproduzione (CMR), persistenti, bioaccumulanti e tossiche (PBT) e molto persistenti e molto bioaccumulabili (vPvB).
La decisione di includere l'acido perfluorobutano solfonico (PFBS) e i suoi sali è stata presa con il coinvolgimento del Comitato degli Stati membri (MSC).
