Assessment and summary of Member States’ implementation reports for Implementing Decision 2014/896/EU (implementing Directive 2012/18/EU on the control of major accident hazards involving dangerous substances)

This report presents our analysis of the status of Member States’ implementation of the Directive 2012/18/EU (Seveso III Directive) during the 2015-2018 reporting period and a comparison with previous reporting periods. The findings in this report are primarily based on the information contained in the reports submitted by Member States for the first reporting period under the Directive.

This report also presents an analysis of the eMARS and eSPIRS databases. In addition, this report provides further consideration on possible indicators to monitor the implementation and to assess the achievements of the Seveso III Directive.
